Porterville College is excited to announce the upcoming PC Promise Days, a two-day event designed to set incoming students up for major success in their higher education journey. Scheduled for August 4 and 5, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the PC Gym, this event serves as the gateway to the life-changing benefits of the PC Promise Program.
The PC Promise Program provides a massive advantage to eligible students by waiving tuition fees for their first two years of college. Beyond financial relief, program participants gain access to exclusive perks designed to streamline their academic journey, including priority registration, dedicated academic counseling, financial aid support, workshops, and access to additional grants as available.
To lock in these benefits, attending the PC Promise Days event is a mandatory requirement for eligibility. The event itself will balance essential preparation with a high-energy campus welcome, featuring a live DJ, music, a photobooth, and free breakfast and lunch for attendees.
PC Promise Program Eligibility Requirements:
- Attend the mandatory PC Promise Days event
- Be a first-time college student and a California high school graduate
- Declare an Academic & Career Pathway
- Complete a FAFSA or DreamAct application
- Maintain enrollment in 9+ units per term during the Fall and Spring semesters
- Enrollment in a COUN course within the first year is highly recommended
Space for this exclusive event is limited, and the deadline to register is this Friday, July 10, 2026.
